The Walking Lunge is a great exercise that can be varied or progressed in a number of different ways.  This video shows the Medicine Ball Walking Lunge, which is a slight progression from the basic walking lunge.  In this exercise, you will hold a medicine ball in front of your chest, then as you step forward into your lunge, push the medicine ball out in front of your chest, then slowly rotate the ball over the foot you lunged with.  As you move back into the standing position, bring the ball back in front of your chest.

NOTE:  Do not attempt to perform this exercise if you are not able to do a standard walking lunge with PERFECT FORM.  If you lose your balance, you need to stick to a standard split-stance lunge and also gain some additional core strength before progressing this exercise.
